Any of you guys out their know anything about the ACA poolies ststus, or if and when they are going to start hire again.
Thanks

Go to ACAForums.com.

The pool still exists but as for hiring, the new airline has to be established/do well and then the furloughs have to come back first. Keep your fingers crossed.

It will be a very long time before ACA hires. We have 100 furloughs on the street, and we will be retiring 27 (?) J-41's next year when we ditch UAL while only taking on 15-25 narrowbodies. Then there is the threat (according to Delta pilots, but not according to our CEO) of Delta ditching us because of DALPA scope. Who knows what will happen to those pilots (let's not even go there -- it's too early to even conjecture.)

Even if the LCC does well and we eventually acquire more narrowbodies, I think the company would want to pair (pear ... pare) down the CRJ fleet because of its high CASM.

But what do I know, I'm just the driver.
