All the free nutri-grain breakfast bars, pretzles, and bad tasting bottled water you can consume.
Actually the benefits are pretty good FOR A REGIONAL. Medical, dental, cheap drugs, alchohol counseling. Pass benefits on UAL and DAL which kick in right away plus a few other travel benefits on other airlines. Did I mention alcohol counseling?

Speaking of pass benefits on UAL and DAL could you be more specific? How do the DAL benefits compare to ASA pilots DAL benefits? Are they the same or not quite as good? Do the United Express side of the house guys get the DAL in combination with the UAL benefits?

I was afraid you would ask that. It is not an easy answer. I fly on the UAL side. There are some issues with the UAL bennies for DCI pilots which may or may not have been worked out. As for the majority of the pilots there are unlimited UAL/UAX Write your Owns (WYO's) which are free unless you are travelling international first class then there is a small charge. this is available to your parents and children (at least the ones you know of and admit to) as well. You get approximately 24 companion passes a year which cost a small fee which varys by trip length. No bennies for siblings except companion passes. As for DAL can buy unlimited 30 dollar one way passes for us and our wives. No parents, girlfriends etc. You also get jumpseat priority on UAL/UAX and DAL/DCI except for that company's pilots and you have the same priority as any other Express/Connection pilot. As for ASA they are a good company with, I believe, unlimited travel benefits on DAL/DCI. No UAL benefits.
In choosing a company among relative equals (who are currently hiring) ACA/ASA/SKYWWEST/AIRWIS/CMR I feel one of the most important things is location. Commuting sucks. so getting a base near where you want to live is very important. Also seriously investigate their schedules. at ACA sometimes the schedules really suck. While my friends at ASA have 19 days off. On the other hand we have a stable contract, at the moment, and ASA is going into Negotiations soon. Good luck choosing, you have good choices.

pretty good explanation of the pass bennies on asa. hands down they are probably some of the best out there, although aca's are pretty close.
following is the comair pass benefits, which should be identical to asa's (sorry if you aleady know this)...
EMPLOYEE, SPOUSE AND DEPENDENT CHILDREN/FULL-TIME STUDENT - On the 31st day of continuous service, Comair employees and their eligible family members each receive free unlimited S3 (Space Available) domestic travel on Comair, Delta and ASA.
- 18 free transoceanic flight days (international fees apply).
- 6 S2 priority travel days
- Eligible family members include spouse and dependent children/full-time Students (age 19 for non-student; age 23 with proof of enrollment each semester).
- Payroll deduction will apply for international service charges and/or fees
- International fees for customs departure taxes will be paid by the employee at the time of departure
PARENTS OF MARRIED EMPLOYEES
- Parents of current Comair employees receive 18S3B flight days which may be used free domestically or at a charge of $75 per flight day (plus international fees) for transoceanic travel on Comair, Delta and ASA.
- Eligible to purchase unlimited amount of yield fare tickets with S3B priority after the 18 free flight days are used.
- Employees must complete 30 days of continuous service for parent eligibility.

- All travel companions must purchase a yield fare ticket before traveling paid at the ticket counter.
- Companions are eligible for S1A (Death emergency flight days) and S2B (Honor Roll flight days awarded to the employee).

- A retired employee may elect a companion.

- Comair employees who have worked 30 continuous days will receive 8 Family and Friends Certificates. These certificates are valid and may be redeemed by you or anyone to whom you provide the certificate, until your next anniversary date.
- Thereafter, 8 Family and Friends Certificates will be awarded on your next calendar anniversary date. These certificates are redeemable for one year.
- Family and Friends certificate travel is space available with S4 boarding classification based on the granting employee's seniority and may not be upgraded.
- Family and Friends certificates may be used by any other individual not already listed in your Primary Pass Rider (PPR) record.
- The certificate must be signed by the employee and have the name of the user clearly printed in the designated area or the certificate will be confiscated by the ticket counter.
- Once issued for travel, the certificate is valid for one year.
- Once issued, unused tickets are refundable but will not be re-issued in another passenger's name.
- Family and Friends Certificates utilize yield fares.
- The recipient is not required to travel with the employee.

i have seen the positive space fares referred to as "ID-80's" in the past, but in reality that's probably not technically correct and can be a bit misleading. here is the applicable info from our web site...
