pretty good explanation of the pass bennies on asa. hands down they are probably some of the best out there, although aca's are pretty close.
following is the comair pass benefits, which should be identical to asa's (sorry if you aleady know this)...
EMPLOYEE, SPOUSE AND DEPENDENT CHILDREN/FULL-TIME STUDENT - On the 31st day of continuous service, Comair employees and their eligible family members each receive free unlimited S3 (Space Available) domestic travel on Comair, Delta and ASA.
- 18 free transoceanic flight days (international fees apply).
- 6 S2 priority travel days
- Eligible family members include spouse and dependent children/full-time Students (age 19 for non-student; age 23 with proof of enrollment each semester).
- Payroll deduction will apply for international service charges and/or fees
- International fees for customs departure taxes will be paid by the employee at the time of departure
PARENTS OF MARRIED EMPLOYEES
- Parents of current Comair employees receive 18S3B flight days which may be used free domestically or at a charge of $75 per flight day (plus international fees) for transoceanic travel on Comair, Delta and ASA.
- Eligible to purchase unlimited amount of yield fare tickets with S3B priority after the 18 free flight days are used.
- Employees must complete 30 days of continuous service for parent eligibility.
- Payroll deduction will apply for international service charges and/or fees
- International fees for customs departure taxes will be paid by the parent at the time of departure
PARENTS OF SINGLE EMPLOYEES WITHOUT DEPENDENT CHILDREN

- Each parent also receives 6 S2 priority flight days.

TRAVEL COMPANIONS - Single and married employees may designate a travel companion in lieu of spouse privileges. on the 31st day of continuous service.
- Companions may be changed once per year on the employee's annual date of hire.
- The parents of single employees (with or without children) who designate a companion will not be eligible for S2 priority, or free S3 transoceanic flight days.
- Companions receive unlimited S3 boarding priority by purchasing space available yield fares throughout the Comair, Delta and ASA route systems.
- Companions receive 6 S2 boarding priorities throughout the Comair, Delta and ASA route systems.
- All travel companions must purchase a yield fare ticket before traveling paid at the ticket counter.
- Companions are eligible for S1A (Death emergency flight days) and S2B (Honor Roll flight days awarded to the employee).
- The companion is not required to travel with the employee unless the companion is a child needing accompaniment.
- A retired employee may elect a companion.
PARENTS USING YIELD FARE TICKETS - Upon the completion of 30 days of continuous service, an employee's parents are eligible to purchase unlimited S3B priority yield fare tickets with their flight pass card.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS
- Comair employees who have worked 30 continuous days will receive 8 Family and Friends Certificates. These certificates are valid and may be redeemed by you or anyone to whom you provide the certificate, until your next anniversary date.
- Thereafter, 8 Family and Friends Certificates will be awarded on your next calendar anniversary date. These certificates are redeemable for one year.
- Family and Friends certificate travel is space available with S4 boarding classification based on the granting employee's seniority and may not be upgraded.
- Family and Friends certificates may be used by any other individual not already listed in your Primary Pass Rider (PPR) record.
- The certificate must be signed by the employee and have the name of the user clearly printed in the designated area or the certificate will be confiscated by the ticket counter.
- Once issued for travel, the certificate is valid for one year.
- Once issued, unused tickets are refundable but will not be re-issued in another passenger's name.
- Family and Friends Certificates utilize yield fares.
- The recipient is not required to travel with the employee.
- Family and Friends information sheet will be included with each set of certificates issued.
