When hired by ACA or ASA, do they tell you what you are hired to fly, or do you have to wait until you start class. And, if you get, say the J41 or Brizalia, is there a seat lock until you can bid the RJ?

Thanks

Also, what is ASA's FO payscale?

I can't speak for ACA, but at ASA, you are told in the first week of indoc what aircraft you are assigned to. When I was hired, I believe that we found out either the first or the third day of training. I don't exactly remember. Aircraft placements are based on the needs of the company and could change before systems training begins. (My class actually had a bid session on some other aircraft positions that opened up).

Pay Scale:
First Year (any aircraft): $19.02
Second Year (EMB-120): $26.62

That's based on the current contract which is amendable in September. That's all I can recall based on memory for I don't have the contract in front of me. I believe that the scales have been listed on this board before if you wish to conduct a search.
