This is a sure way to doom the Asian adventure.
Unlike the MIA domicile I doubt they will get 32 happy go lucky guys living where they are based making the operation run. One or 2 people with an axe to grind can bring this operation to a standstill, imagine 32 pi$$ed off people. I would be amazed if the airplane ever left.
I say let them try and staff and operate a domicile in Japan. The start up cost plus all the other associated cost (health care, moving expenses, house hunting trips, etc.) will kill them. We will need a crew room with all associated stuff (staffing, computers, mailboxes).
If they go ahead with this is it not a violation of the CBA. Does this mean no more OPF again......... When will they learn.
P.S. I guess it takes the board quite a bit of time to review a buyout offer, no response to Astars offer yet.
