Not likely. Eventually they will make a change, but I doubt you'll see it here first.

Exactly what I thought. Even double-checked on Google.

French it is...

Or will they call it a "Freedom" Plane?

I think AA has determined it would be too difficult to polish all the Alaska airplanes after the acquisition. I like the old scheme much better.

Yves... another French surrender monkey.. but I digress.. Not all that bad looking actually. When I come back as a 757 Captain when the courts reinstate my date of hire seniority I don't care what the airplanes look like. I just want the back pay, front pay and the capt. pay I've been cheated out of. Check out the cat playing with the ceiling fan string above the plane's image.

uuugghhh....man is that ugly.

yup, it sux. Therefore I think aa will implement it, as it will fit in with the rest of the place and the majority of the personnel

lol, just noticed that...

It very well could be the new scheme of the AMR short/medium-range division a'la Eagle/Connection.

Perhaps the 777's will go there with 70-seats and a piano bar.

I think it looks better than that very 80's polished look. Yeah the part on the front looks french, but the tail not too bad.....other than that it looks much better than that crap they have had for decades....TIME FOR A CHANGE! Don't fight it.

Oh,. did I mention that Ornstein should sip drano???

I'm not with AMR anymore but I was on my way to XNA the other day and one of your super 80's passed above me on the airway. Please keep them polished aluminum. When the sun hits it just right it is a spectacular sight.

Paint adds weight and costs money...

....well, I don't like it and to paint the whole plane in place of the polished aluminum will cost a lot of money. I remember an old stat. from the Flagship News ( early to mid 1990's) that it cost over $64 a year to fly 1 lb. on an AA plain. That is when they started to remove some of the "excess" inserts of soda, etc.

I like the new UPS and FEDEX paint schemes. They both did a fine job at modernizing the old style while maintaining their already recognized brands. AMR should try to do something like.

However, I still think the last TWA paint scheme was one of the best ever.

Without a doubt, the best paint scheme that ever existed!

And I still mention that while taxiing by a former TWA aircraft...."it looked better in the last paint job." Hey, did I have the mic keyed when I said that?

Rik, not to hijack the thread but I thought all the legal challenges to the Teenie Weenie integration were as dead as Saddam's two boys. Not so?

big al: the french reference is to Yves, not the flag. The French flag is blue white and red with the blue against the flag pole or standard. Look again at the artistic rendering, red white and blue.

gutshotdraw: depostions and discovery will show the conspiricy and could open the door for seniority re-integration due to criminal behavior by APA/AMR/ALPA should the jury find for us TWA guys and the judge orders a reshifting of numbers.
