So you post 30 times a day on FI, strong arming your opinions, yet you save your opinion on this. I will not even say anything else or I am sure you will go cry to the moderator .

I'll reserve my opinion on this because it is an internal matter, not an external matter.

Most of your guys posting on here about ATN71 business are just blathering about stuff they don't understand. Maybe the AAI guys should start commenting about SWAPA matters, and voicing our opinions about all of your internal matters . . . Oh, wait, we wouldn't do that, because we know it's not any of our business at this point, even though we'll be living under those policies, eventually.

Amen.

This has nothing to do with ALPA. This is all our own local idiots. We now have 7 of the 11 total elected leaders who are brand new and changing all kinds of things, when there was never any sort of mandate from the pilots to change anything at all. But this is what happens when no one runs for office who has any experience and only 17% of the pilots even bother to vote. We can't blame ALPA for our own apathy and stupidity.

Wow. An ALPA National EVP attacking his local union that he represents . After being fired.

True colors.

Unfortunately it is the truth. When SWAPA takes over as our union they need dump every current ALPA rep. Hold no one over for any amount of time.

Could not agree more, ALPA is not welcome anywhere near Empire Central.

Maybe, maybe not

Trust me, there's more to this than meets the eye!

TO has to go back to training, and he will be screwed on his pay. The new Vice Chair and Sec/Tres with only get 70. Pathetic! Now LH is going back to flying some as well. Looks like cutting corners to save money.

ATN ALPA has been a financial burden on National, and that won't continue. This group has very limited resources and now we have committees shutting down, pay for full-time guys going down, etc. Maybe the last Sec/Tres was right and an assessment is neccessary evil. I just can't imagine throwing more money at an organization with this level of disfunction!

malibu, it's not true that ATN ALPA is a burden on the Association. The MEC has been turning a surplus for months now. None of this has anything to do with money problems.

Unfortunately, that's not how it works. You guys will have domicile reps and be responsible for electing those who represent YOU.

So now that we've all worked through the emotion of it all............

Why was the dude fired?

And was he or was he not involved in WN negotiations?

Gup

I realize that. What I mean is no current reps keep their position. No deals. Fresh start.

Don't mean to dig on you.
It sounds like these guys got to go. But it's funny how those who are compelled to union involvement find their way in it- a lot of the USAPA guys are the same ones USAIR threw out with alpa. Theres work to be done representing- even at great-culture-swa - and if the good men and women won't do it- there will be opportunities for the bad.

No one wants to be scratching their head thinking ...' how the hell did THOSE guys get back in??....'
