I can understand why the SWAPA guys are anxious for this to pass, it's not everyday you get a seniority windfall like this.

This cram-down will leave a bitter legacy at SWA for many years to come.

I can see why the AAI guys will pass this. It's not everyday the best company in your respective industry buys out one of the ********************tiest and doesnt say screw u to the employees!

Thanks for the Advanced warning about my windfall and screwing over my company from the get go. Nothing but a DB!

FDJ2 = Fly Delta Jets 2. Just a hunch player, I don't think he flies for AirTran.

It'll pass both sides. All that's needed is 51%, and that's almost certainly gonna happen. Time to move on.

Look at the bright side, we will have 1700 "militant, don't trust mgmt" new pilots, maybe SWAPA will grow some cahoneys and push back a little with the fresh blood...the ppruners will welcome all SWAPA/SWA haters....

Because an acrimonious relationship with management is really what we need right now?

That may qualify as the dumbest thing ever written on FI

Congratulations

I wouldn't say 1700 "militant." Don't lump us all in to the idiot campaign. More like 100 "militant." And keep dreaming Flyanalvasoline.

Please god let the Clampett's vote NO

Hey there flynvixen, I have some news for you:

Winston Churchill did NOT say that. Next time you try to sound smart, maybe you might think about doing some REAL research instead of using the first Google hit as gospel.

The AAI folks are a decent group of professionals on the whole.

Have a nice day.

I dont give at rats a$$ who said it...... maybe you guys should have done some real research on the way SWA GK and Herb run the company...they start by not taking $hit from two bit labor unions bent on running company's out of business like the all knowing ALPA. you guys will learn it either the easy way or the hard way but trust me you will learn to get with the program around here or you will find yourself in attach resume send mode.

the Clampetts may be a good group of "folks" time will tell and the jury is still out on that one but so far your hard headed union tools that only knew how to say no until the big smack down meeting with GK and Herb have left us here as SWA waiting and wondering .......time will tell ....time will tell

PCL-- nice bit of flame there dude. You don't think it's fair b/c you haven't lived this life and b/c you're loyal to ALPA above your company and definitely above the best interests of your peers. It pains me to see you benefit from this deal- and end up on the swapa list at all after everything you've done to undermine it, and with how little you appreciate the opportunity you have been given.
==============
flyVix- of course you don't care who said it-- why would the modern republican care about facts or a real education?
and to the point-- you do know that Herb is a liberal democrat and most of what makes this company great is bc of his liberal policies? Think he has no head?

but here you go anyway:
  • "Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old Liberal and I'll show you someone with no brains."
    • Often attributed to Winston Churchill. [5], The phrase originated with Francois Guisot (1787-1874): "Not to be a republican at twenty is proof of want of heart; to be one at thirty is proof of want of head." It was revived by French Premier Georges Clemenceau (1841-1929): "Not to be a socialist at twenty is proof of want of heart; to be one at thirty is proof of want of head."
In other words: It's a simpleton talking point zinger passed down for centuries. Conservatives love that ignorant ego sh/t
