People were seriously putting show polish on tillers!? Jeeze...

Yes, and on headsets and shoulder harnesses. They were also leaving windows unlatched, disabling the ACARS and pulling breakers (like the hidden ones behind the Jumpseat). Within a couple of weeks of going "metal neutral" we got a message from our CPs (all bases) to be extra thorough with our preflights and report anything out of the ordinary to our respective CP Offices.
