I was furloughed from AA early and I'm at the bottom of the seniority list. How long does the contract stipulate that I retain recall privileges?

In other words, what are my chances of ever being recalled?

Who knows what the chances of recall are anymore, but with the new contract they extended recalls from 10 years to unlimited recall rights. So, see you back there in 2010. Maybe we will be in the same class..

Call APA. If I were you I would move on to another carrier. You would be a Captain at SWA well before your number would be called again at AA. Good luck.

I just KNEW at least one person would tell me to go to SWA! I already burned the SWA bridge.

I retire from the military in seven years, I'm just wondering if I'll still have my airline job waiting for me.

If not, I'll just be a sim instructor and teach at ERAU at night. With my AF retirement, I'll still make over six figures and never be gone. By then my 15 year mortgage will be paid. My AF bonus already paid for my kid’s college. Doesn't sound too exciting though.

I'm amazed how quickly we've all learned to lower our standards! Not long ago Kudwa was shaking my hand and telling me I'd be a millionaire. Oh well!

Apparently, life involves a certain amount of risk. ;)
