Yeah, well now that it turns out that the commuter train driver was texting before he killed dozens (and himself in LA) the feds may have to act after all.

Hopefully someone will get out there and publicize that point.

To be fair to the engineer. It turns out that some kid told a local news station in LA that he was texting the engineer before the crash. That doesn't mean it actually happened. Cell phone records will easily confirm or dispute this quickly.

There's also a report from other engineers that the railway lighting system has been having issues. Issues where the red/green lights at mission control don't correlate to what's being seen on the rail.

I am no engineer but I would guess it takes more than one missed red before 2 trains head-on? Most likley the usual chain of events.

None the less this AA Chief needs some more exposure!
