Greetings all,

As many know AA is one of the CASS airlines and is now also allowing unlimited jumpseaters from

SWA

More to come soon.

Thanks

AA

Great news. Interesting that they don't allow unlimited to all of the airlines.

What happens if a Comair guy is listed on the jumpseat first, and then a Delta guy comes up?
I'm guessing the Delta guy won't get on????

What if the reverse happens and a Delta guy is listed, and then a Comair guy comes up???
Will the Delta guy still not get on???

This message board wouldn't be flight info if there wasn't a negative comment about something.

This was just announced, we do not have all the details. Other airlines will be added, I do not know why these were the starting carriers to get reciprocal?

It is a start, AA would never have done this in the past, it was also frustrating to watch other carriers give unlimited and we were unable to offer the favor.

How about, that is great news, hope the details come out soon, hope to see more airlines on the list.

AA

Why, this board s$cks, this industry s$ucks, the pay s%cks, jumpseating s%cks. Now I am back on track, sorry for sounding to positive in the above mentioned post, shame on me.

Sorry AA,

Didn't mean to sound negative. I'm really excited about it and said so in my post you thought was so negative.

It's REALLY going to help me a lot being a Dallas based Comair commuter. I was asking my question because if me and a Delta guy are both trying to commute I was thinking I'd let him LIST FIRST, then I would be the additional jumpseater if possible, so I wouldn't kick him off of it.

AND YES I would try to be nice and help out the Delta commuter. Almost all of the guys I've commuted with from Dallas to Cinci have been class acts that are very personable, nice, and friendly. Although, just like at Comair there are some bad apples at Delta too.

Sorry Jet,

I guess I am so use to negative tones I just expect it. Glad it helps you out. You guys have been most excellent with the jumpseat. With all the bad news going around it is something positive, small but positive. Atleast it is a good start.

Take Care,

AA

No prob AA,

Probably did look like I was a pilot with one of the airlines not on the list yet Bichin about it. I can understand easily, because yes people do get pretty negative on here JUST EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE;)

Thanks a lot AAflyer and THANK YOU AMERICAN AIRLINES AND AMERICAN EAGLE!!! There that was more positive:)

Jet

I heard the APA hotline and there was no mention of American Eagle.

American Airlines alone is still great news!! I'm sure American Eagle will do it too, but we'll just have to be positive and wait and see the complete details in time.

We are in the CASS system and our list goes like this:

American
Alaska
Horizon
UPS
United

Why is our list different?

Dispatch,

Your CASS list is accurate, I was mentioning the airlines we are now extending unlimited jumpseats to. I do not know the specifics of who or why they were selected.

regards,

AA

I'm assuming if Alaska is accepted Horizon would also be included since they are both owned by the same company?? (fingers crossed)

Eagle is also unlimited jumpseat with the above-mentioned carriers as of 9/21.

American Connection is not owned by AMR so they set their own rules...

OAL jumpseaters riding AA/AE will be assigned priority based on check-in time, only CASS jumpseaters can ride in the actual jumpseat, and we can take unlimited D6u (unlimiteds) in the cabin and either 1 or 2 D6l (limiteds) depending on how many jumpseats the AC has.

Example: 75/76 has 2 jumpseats. Assuming enough seats in the cabin, we can take 2 D6l's (in either cabin or jumpseat if CASS) plus unlimited D6u's in cabin. Only CASS jumpseaters may ride in the cockpit.

The designation of D6 u/l is determined by recipricol jumpseat agreements. AA is also trying to get the same deal for F/A's but not finding much interest among the other carriers.

It's not perfect, but it's a giant step in the right direction!

CASS (so far)

AA/AE
Alaska/Horizon
United
UPS

Unlimited Jumpeats on AA
(effective 9/21/04)

Alaska but not Horizon
Comair
Southwest
USAir
