Right now 397 with AA numbers and about 225 Eagle Rights. Some of the current number holders will now elect to stay (or have to becasue of age) and some of the ER's will elect to flow (but their seniority is at the bottom).

Won't know how it rearranges itself until the point in time when AMR "surveys" those pilots for their irrevocable decision. Right now that will occur NO LATER than April 30.

It does not really change anything for you trying to get hired from outside. All that it says is that the first 25 of each new hire class per month must be Eagle flow throughs, then if a monthly class is larger then 50 flow through guys get a 1 for 1 rate. But AA must get through their furlough list once.

So whats does this mean for people out side of AMR getting hired on at AA when and if they ever hire again

Nothing really - most of this was in place since 1998. The two main things this letter does is extend the flow-through beyond the original expiration of April 2008 and it clarified how the various groups of pilots (AA furloughed, AA furloughed at Eagle, flow throughs with AA #'s, flow throughs without AA#'s, and future pilots) are going to move over to AA.

Good luck
