I was hired by TWA directly to the right seat of the OZ9!

Some of the AA F/Os have found that the STL brew tastes pretty good!

An AA mechanic working on our broken airplane in Tulsa told me the nose gear on the MD80 was cocked off 90 degrees to the right for some reason or other, and when the nose touched off she went. Nice skid marks, too...

Hey man, my chunk of time flying out of STL wasn't in vain. Definiteley the best base in the system, by far the most laid back group of guys to fly with. Your pilot group (99%) is a class act.

In fact, we are seing a little history being made here. When TWA bough OZ, the TWA procedures slowly started changing as more and more OZ guys starting infiltrating the training dept. TWA became a model CRM airline.... We are slowly starting to see the same thing here at AA as more and more TWA input makes its way through the Berlin Flight Academy....

Exactly! The blue pages at the beginning of the airport with all that good information was an OZ-thing.

TWA went through "Uncle Carl" and the loss of half the retirement in the mid 1980s. The Direct Account Plan (DAP) came to be after that. It was 14.3% of your monthly gross, paid at the end of each month to an account the company could never touch, even if they went through bancrupcy.

My opinion would be to freeze or adjust the current A and/or B fund and set up a DAP-type account. For me, it will be all about the retirement situation in deciding to ever come back.

So even if they don't paint it green, you can still fly it to Moline!

I miss that old dirty, oil dripping, bad smelling, roaches in first class (while the beach boys were on board) plane.

Which roaches are you referring to, the little prehistoric critters or the two dozen rampers that would meet you at the gate before the engines spooled down to nab the left over catering. I loved how the freight door light would come on at V1 and go out as it started to pressurize. Took 'em awhile to finally fix that one.
