I'm pretty sure both are represented by TWU , does anyone know if they are under the same local?

One more question, does anyone know what dispatch software program and ASD AA/AE uses? Do they use different systems?

As of this fall, both will be rolling out Jeppesen's Dispatch Control for flight planning and WSI Fusion for radar/ASD. Don't know about AE, but mainline is already running Fusion.

We just got Fusion at OO... Some better, some worse... Jury is still out on it.

We've been running Fusion for over a year now and I've come to like it better than FE. WSI seems to listen to the users when requesting changes and/or updates, at least from my viewpoint. When it rolled out it was lacking quite a bit of things that make it user friendly, but every update adds more things that, in my opinion, keeps it as the better overall product.

We will be moving our ACARS from our flight planning system over to Fusion soon, so we'll see how that goes.

I hated Fusion for the first couple of weeks I used it, but I've grown to quite like it. It still has it's quirks, but it's workable.

Flight Explorer is still a little more user friendly and customizable, however, now that it's a SABRE product, customer support has likely flat-lined.

You will work with what we give you and LIKE it, Walter! Now get back to work and bring me a cup of coffee. <grin>

Tell him to make sure its extra hot too! I heard he is a good little gopher...

I find donuts are greatly apprciated in the dx office and if you're really looking to score points, make sure you bring Krispy Kremes.

In a previous 135-not-yet-121 life it was rather "interesting" how the Capts that sent gifts of Atomic Fire Balls and beef jerky to dispatch seemed to always get the newer 1900D aircraft routed on their lines. Even if multiple swaps were required to do so.*

*No passenger connections were harmed in the making of this bribe...er uh this aircraft routing plan.
