a bar is nice....a lounge is nice....the 747 had those things at first...but they figured out how much more revenue could be generated by replacing that with seats....

cant wait till the japanese configure it for high-density commuter work downt the coast of japan just like their 500 seat 747's. 800 seats anyone?
 
Man,

I love the French, but you would think the same people that brought us the Mirage, the Falcon 20, and the Concorde could design a better looking airplane. You would think the Gallic sense of art and aesthetic would have been worth something here.

Am I the only one who thinks the A380 is one butt-ugly heap of alluminum?

Looks more like something from the movie "Alien" than a Whale. There's only one true "Whale". Boeings are Beautiful!!!!!:D
 
It looks like a 747 had "relations" with a DC-8.....
 
I wonder how many of the orders will actually be delivered. And can you imagine how the lines at Customs will be affected?
 
Why do you "Majors" folks care?

Don't understand why the A380 info is on the Majors board since the only Major U.S. airlines to order it are FedEx (launch customer) and four years later UPS (copy cat customer). We know that info on those undesireable, "Fly by night", backside of the clock sluggos belong in the cargo section.

Whyddyu care? You "Majors" guys and gals will never lay a hand on that airplane unless you are self-loading cargo on some Non US Flag carrier.

Yeah to me it looks like the result of a Boeing taking a Guppy from behind. Now that does sound like something the French would do!

How'd you like to be the sorry guy stuck in the last row of coach. It will probably take 30 minutes before you can get off the plane.

How about "double ugly!" I recall that Kalitta or Kitty Hawk once had an aircraft they named double ugly an L1011 I think. But I believe they retired it. So the name is available. And appropriate. What an ugly, stupid looking aircraft. I am anxious to see it fly and miss all it's performance numbers. Don't let anyone fool you guys Airbus built the aircraft simply for "biggest commercial jetliner" bragging rights. They know they build an inferior product to boeing across the board. I recently flew with a former A320 Captain who just transitoned to the NG he said that he is happy he's on the NG and it's a much better aircraft period. Airbus and other European companies and the Chi-Coms and the Russians are all in it togethor. Waging Assymetric warfare against the United States (economic front) it's just that most people are too ignorant to see that. I wonder how many people realized that Boeing at one time was our country largest exporter? or represented at one time the largest single company percentage of our GDP. No wise a$$' I don't have the links, but I remember from years ago in my economics class. It's sad to see Boeing having to compete against a company that is GOVERNMENT UNDERWRITTEN!! Anyway F-ck the A380 and the European freaks that created it.

Sandman...The first time you fly that big POS A$$380 will probably be your last. I bet the thing is one huge FLOP! Talk about UGLY! Hopefully they have the same demo team flying this one as did the 320 into the tree's....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
