Just another airplane. Im not a basher but im deffinitly not a fan. I like a few things about Airbus.......but they sure arent Boeings. The 380 will never be able to match the quality and legacy of the 747.

i was also going to put boeing stats on that reply, until i noticed boeing doesn't add that info to their website. but here are the stats available.

just my own thoughts, but airbus seems to be at least a 20 year disposable aircraft. now how many 727, 737, 747 build in the early 80's are still flying. probably less than 80%. i believe delta had the first (or close to it) 757 and 767 aircraft and to my knowledge, they are still in service.

I'd bet on more than 80%. Heck, look at the all the 727-200's that are still in service. There are still a lot of 737-200's in service as well.

The most telling number right now is the order numbers of 787 vs A380.

Still the two best products out there. Give me any model of either of them anytime.

Who still has 737-200's in service? I was under the impression that everyone retired them.

Aloha still has them. I saw some recently at America West. There are a bunch down in South America. The only ones I know of that have been retired lately are the legacy carriers. Somebody probably has a link to all the active ones, I'm just a little lazy to find them now. Anyone?

I rode on a Delta -200 last week, plus Alaska is still flying theirs. I am sure there are more.
