It is precisely the possible loss of airspace privileges that motivated me in the thread where we originally discussed what is legal to do, versus what is advisable to do near busy airspace.

If we police ourselves better, thinking ahead to what our actions may bring, then AOPA, EAA, and NAFI will have an easier time defending our flying privileges for many years to come.

I wish those two America West guys had done some additional thinking beforehand, rahter than having to think about their ruined careers as they are doing right now.
