There may be no "I" in TEAM but there certainly is a "ME". Nice job Acarp. I knew the Variable Intensity portion....but seriously, that is some obscure trivia. Maybe we should have a trivia contest on the forum sometime before everybody gets recalled from furlough.

Yep. You guys got it right.

1.) VIRGA - Visual Indication of Rain Gradient Aloft
2.) Captain's a woman - No big deal
3.) Usually the letter "J" - Not counting any paper work.

Thanks. I guess there were a few out there that were as bored as me. LOL and keep the blue side up!

how about fuel jettison?? sure not uncommon.

jet pumps, in the lear, but heck, these planes i fly are almost twice as old as i am..... ;-)

I couldn't find anything suggesting that virga is an acronym. In fact, what I did find repeatedly is that the etymology is directly from the Latin virga meaning "stick" or "streak". What's your source?

From Merriam-Webster:

Main Entry: vir·ga
Pronunciation: 'v&r-g&
Function: noun
Etymology: New Latin, from Latin virga , branch, rod, streak in the sky suggesting rain
Date: 1938
: wisps of precipitation evaporating before reaching the ground

The "J" Row of circuit breakers. Only on the Slaab.

But I liked the questions.
