Spot on MCDU! That's why the west is going to wither at the vine- there is nothing in PHX. More furloughs to come out there. Couldn't happen to a better bunch of kids!

Your a real class act sir.. You do know that there's been 40 west furloughed pilots recalled and are now in training right?

A furloughed 2005 West pilot would have how many East pilots below him if the Nic was implemented?
Over 800
3470(Most Junior East)-2643(Monda) according to the 2009 SL

Could the furloughed West pilots (DOH 2005) hold a line or a Capt spot on the 190 with the Nic award? Yes, they have 800 pilots below them.

How about Widebody flying. Could the furloughed West pilot hold that to? Yes

M

That is a windfall at the expense of East pilots. Which is not what the east signed up for.

Can not wait to see if the SWA pilots will put up being placed behind someone who was hired after them.

It's out of SWA pilots hands...TOTALLY. Just like the Eastholes...nobody gives a shizz what they thought "they signed up for". Irrelevant.

I don't believe your claim that a 2005 hire could hold captain on the east. Post up your latest equipment bid and then the I'll look at the Nic list.

Could a furloughed east pilot hired in 1989 hold a senior captain slot in PHX with a DOH list? Not just any DOH list, but the list that USAPA handed to the company that does not adjust for LOS.

That is sad. 16 replies, and you had to answer your own questions. Hang in there Marty, tomorrow's gonna be a better day......:)

Thanks Dave. I guess the young PFT crowd of AWA frequents this board. Many are ex 90's commuter pilots. Not to many real USAir pilots on here. It's an age thing.

I would disagree. I think there are plenty of "lurkers" that just don't want to waste the band width in a reply. I don't know the specific make-up of the east based pilots, but the AWA pilot group has a wide selection of prior employers. Some were Mesa (and other commuters), yes. But we have lots of retired military, former ATC controllers that were fired by Reagan, former Eastern Airlines, former Braniff, former TWA, former US Air, etc. Yes, I would say there are many "real US Air" pilots that cruise around this (and other) board (s).

Don't know about the age thing...(does AARP really think that I will join if they send MORE stuff in the mail???)....Collectively speaking our group isn't that much younger than the east based pilots.

Have a great day! I'm at home enjoying the cool nights & the leaves changing color. Fall is the best season by far!
