How the heck did they remember Sabena but forget Eastern?

Even with the glaring oversight it is still a sad sight.:(

Did I miss something? It said on there that Braniff went out of business in 1982. I swear I flew on them in the late 1980's when I was opening a new station. Can someone clarify this for me?

The History of Braniff International Airways

Remembering May 12, 1982 - 22 Years On

Braniff II - Braniff, Inc. 1984-1989 - The Braniff Pages Also includes Braniff International Airlines, Inc. (Braniff III) (1991-1992)

A significant blurb from The Archive-Braniff I & II Timetables:

" Braniff became the first major U.S. Airline to file for bankruptcy and shutdown, the first major victim of deregulation, a weak economy, and over-expansion."

I was perversely proud to see Vanguard in there. It also was nice of them to have a picture of the POS 737 (620PC) in which I had to perform my one-and-only inflight engine shutdown.
