Aloha lawsuit for sale

By Dave Segal
[email protected]

Aloha Airlines, which has been on a fast track to liquidate its assets since filing for bankruptcy in mid-March, said in federal District Court yesterday that it plans to sell the legal claim in its 2006 lawsuit against go! parent Mesa Air Group Inc. to the highest bidder.
"A lawsuit is no different than a propeller," said James Wagner, an attorney for Aloha Chapter 7 trustee Dane Field. "It's an asset and we're going to sell it."

Anyone?

Can the Mesa pilots but this, band together and turn it into a class-action lawsuit?

Also, can Long Time Gone come in here and comment as well? Just show everyone on the board how much of a pompous butt-hole he is?

they are selling it because they know it will cost millions to try a case that may never get them anything. From what I have read Aloha's case is an antitrust case that requires them to prove that Mesa intended to achieve a monopoly. There is no way with 6 RJs.

There's a lot more to the case than that. Mesa is TOAST!

Yes, I can. I'm surprised you know what the word "pompous" is. It must be used towards yourself quite a bit.:D

Do you mean "rebut", which means to refute, especially by offering opposing evidence or arguments, as in a legal case? Once again, you show your level of competence well. Be careful who and how you criticize them, for you contradict yourself way too much.

OOH, OOH!!! Pick ME!! Pick ME!!

No, I meant "buy." As in "you swing both ways," But, hell, after a long day and a few beers, those fingers start to slip and hit the wrong keys. Soo me.

That would actually be "bi" and "sue" Mr. Dumas.

So far you're failing your own "prerequisite for getting hired" horribly. Now we all understand why you're a Dispatcher instead of a Pilot.

Next.....

Ummm, HA didn't prevail on predatory pricing, they prevailed on Mesa misusing confidential information which Mesa then used to gain an unlawful edge with Go! The predatory pricing is only a small part and remember, HA already proved their case.
I guess Mesa felt it was so frivolous that it coughed up $52.5 mil instead of filing an appeal.

O RLY?

There's 'NO WAI' I would purposely define "buy" wrong and spell "sue" wrong just to push your buttons, would there?

Would you care to tell the rest of the class what my screen name means while you're at it? Since you're so smart.

Based on your past performance and lack of grammar skills (even though you like to make them a "prerequisite"), no I don't think you're pushing buttons on purpose. For someone who wishes to make the point of "lose" and "loose", you sure can't spell "regard" or use the word "your" in the correct text. Then again, maybe you wanted to protect the pilot group again (re-guard).

Nah, I think you're the real deal.

Your name has something to do with Xtra Airways (XP) and SkyWest (OO), but I'm not quite sure what. I'm taking a shot in the dark here (aiming with sound and experience) that you were fired from Xtra Airways (or Casino Express if you wish) and SkyWest hired you. If you were born in St. Petersburg (PIE), you could put it all together and change your name to XPOOPIE.:D

Took the time to do some internet checking. Good boy. I hope you didn't have to resort to the unreliable wikipedia as your source, though.

As for your PIE comment, I'm sure you're more the Sioux City, IA to Dickinson, ND kind, right?

No, actually I just got here. Like I said before, I don't spend all of my time here for I have a life at home, too. I'm only here when I'm not there.

Anyways, most of the "known" airlines have "known" airline codes. I used Google for XP instead, if that's acceptable.

I guess it's true, then, that you were fired from Casino. Sorry to hear that.

LOL! The answer is: No. Perhaps, XP is just internet slang for death. Just as :P is internet slang for sticking my tougue out at you.

Now why on Earth would you want death (XP as you put it) to SkyWest (OO)???? You already admitted that I was correct. A little back peddling???

Actually, XP in internet slang means "experience". Get with the program or stop opening your mouth (or "key board"). You dig yourself into a deeper hole every time you try.

Next....

I hope the popcorn has butter on it.

Yawn, you get less interesting to mess with by the post. :P ;P XP :) ;) 8) :0 80

That's the best you can do? I told you before how to stop this.

I think it's great that with every situation you find yourself in with me, you display to the rest of us how much of an illiterate idiot you are. As I prove you wrong on a regular occasion, all you can come up with is some nonsense response. It makes you once again look like the kid on the playground who was the last one picked in Dodge Ball.

Ooh, Ooh!!! Pick ME!!! Pick ME!!!

Don't worry, I've been policing the boards for you while you are away with your REAL LIFE. For example: DEETS!

And, before you go trying to disect "asplode," it's a slang word for explode. You'll find those DEETS! here.

Nah, no worries. "Asplode" is an easy one.

I don't patrol around here unless it has to do with you. Makes you feel "special" doesn't it? Maybe you'll learn by following the mistakes of others instead of making them first yourself.

Well, heck, looks like you have a lot of proofreading to get done over the Vote Dem thread. Better get to steppin'.

XPOO.... I think Long Time Gone tags his bags, WENATCHEE, FRESNO, DICKENSON, YUMA......
