I start FltSafety on the 680 tomorrow. Three other guys in my indoc class also start then. One of them is typed and current in the 680 (he came from another frac). It was just luck that he got the 680 and he has to go through the same course at FS that the rest of us do.

Who you know will help in getting the interview quicker but it carries no weight in the interview. It's all up to you!

That's not true. The applicant can have a LOR from Richard Santulli, but he/she still has to PERFORM on the interview.

If the interview team is on the fence, a LOR might be enough to push the applicant into the yes pile.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. The LOR is considered in the interview.

I flew for a 91 operation that rented out their jet to a 135 place when the schedule was slow. The end result was always being on a pager 24/7, hated it.

Begin to see NJA guys on the road and spoke with them, put in my app got hired never looked back.

I have been approached to fly for two flight depts in the last 2 years, turned both of them down cold. Now that isn't to say there isn't a gig out there that could make me leave NJA, but it would have to be one hell of a gig and those are few and far between.

Thanks RNO. Interesting.
Pat 91 is all I've known, and I've worked for some pretty big companies. My current employer is a Fortune 200 company.

It's uncommon to see pilots leave a large company corp flight dept to go to a fractional. I was wondering why that is. NJA cetainly has a lot to ofer in the way of pay/schedule that many 91 ops can't match. However, I do have a fully vested pension i addition to a 401k. That's nice.

Still, I like the structure of NJA. Just looking for some perspective.
