I am finishing up a contract flying gig here in a couple of months and should have around 900TT/250ish multi. 4 year college degree (if it matters). Most of my flight time lately has been in a single engine, high performance aircraft. I know 1000 TT would be better, but I never earned my CFI and I built up my time with odd flying jobs and contracts.

My question is what regionals out there are hiring at around my time (I know that Colgan, Great Lakes, and ExperssJet are) - any others? Or should I just find another flying gig, build up a few more hours and apply once I have over 1000? Thanks.

All of them are hiring with those numbers right now. You have a good amount of multi which weighs heavily in regional hiring. I'm pretty sure you meet the mins for Skywest, Air Wisconson, Chatauqua, ASA as well as all the turboprop commuters. Just go look at their respective websites for hiring and qualification info.

Skywest, AirWisc.,Chataugua all say on their websites they want at least 1,000... I was going to apply anyway to at least SkyWest and AirWisc. Most regionals on their websites in fact say they want at least 1000/100 -I figure my extra multi will help some but not sure if it will make up for a 100 hr difference.

Gotta have 1500/300 to get hired by Chautauqua. I've seen recent interviews that have less time, but they are placed in the pool until they hit those numbers.

You must have to have those hours to be qualified to fly that huge 170 they have, most airlines publish the mins as a guide, but will hire much lower based on type of experience and the interview process. If there is a certain one you want to work at, apply there. Best of Luck.

Even though AWAC's mins are 1000TTL/100MEL, they seem more intent on enforcing the 100 multi. I can think of a handful of people hired within recent memory who had around 700-800TTL, but easily met the 100MEL. Conversely, they've turned away 1000+ guys with less than the 100MEL.

With that said, you should be good for an interview at AWAC. But, I've also seen that internal letters of rec. seem more vital here than at other regionals. Good luck.
