It doesn't matter who I work for. It's a valid question.

How can NWA claim credit for airplanes they probably won't get until 2011?

If I don't ask it, someone else will.

My comment was based on you trying to flame me on a different thread about my opinion not being valid since i am a relatively new hire at NWA and yet you don't even work for either. So where does that leave your opinion? Hence my comment above

As far as the planes go. They were supposed to be here now and are firm orders. The plane isn't here yet only because of Boeing. Its not that those planes are imaginary like you try and portray.

If I say I have an order for fifty 787s, but it's Boeing's fault that they haven't been delivered, does that mean I can try to get to the top of DAL's seniority list too?

Yet another comment doing nothing but attempting to stir the pot. i shouldnt respond but i will ask,

DAL has some 737's and a couple 777's coming also should those aircraft not be counted?

last time I checked, 737-700s and 777-200LRs were certified by the FAA and in production.

the 787 hasn't even been powered up yet!

Am I wrong?

You keep telling yourself that the 787 wont make it to production

in other words, I'm right.

oh, the 78 will make it to production...in 2010 or later.

how many years behind is that?

and you should get credit for it because ________

feel free to fill in the blank.

Time to face it bud: you can't even get to the bottom of the DAL list. So NWA gets them a year late as the launch North American customer (I'm sure we won't get any penalty $ from Boeing or anything:rolleyes:). What's your point? That we won't get them? That we'll liquidate due to this? What exactly?

Because DALPA wanted credit for their a/c options. Options for a/c far less fuel-efficient than the 787 that are much less likely to be exercised than the options on our 787's in a $110/barrel environment.

There. Now howzabout you answer the questions I posed to you?;)
