I thought the -400 had cranked wingtips, unlike the 200/300 wing. Is that not true?

I believe the real reason the 737NG has the old style overhead is because southwest threatened not the purchase the a/c. Don't want those guys flying the old -200 to have to learn anything, now do we.

Southwest also wanted the NG with steam gauges too. Boeing told them tough.

That is just what I have heard...
