Does an EFIS 737-300 count as 737 NG? Where would I find a reference?Thanks.
 
That would be a big no. The -100,200, 300, 400, 500 are considered classics. The -600, 700, 800, 900 are next generation.

Try http://www.b737.org.uk/ ... it's a pretty good reference for all things 737. If you look at the History & Variants section, scroll down a little past halfway, and look under the "New Generation" header.
 
-700 is the best one!
 
- and the 800 is even better
