I'd be concerned if I was at a regional right now for United or Continental. Seems to be a huge push to get scope back and further restrict it.

My post wasn't meant to be flamebait. I heard the rumor and wanted to see if that was true or not. Thanks everyone.....................

The FACT is UAL furloughed 800+ just with grounding the 737-300/500 fleet, just to make the "Merger" happen......

I am told that CAL will be hiring 500+ soon to fill the void--that and get rid of scope we will be needed a few good pilots!

If you look back in history you'll see that UAL has there big group of Scabs as well. That statement is a wash!

Huh? What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Losing your seat is losing your seat. Just happened to be scabs that will do it with the "golden shower".

I am going to have to remember that one, may I use it?

Thanks,

rr

Sure. It was used by a grumpy chief pilot when at a pilot meeting. Some brown nosed management weenie had written a POS new policy procedure and asked the Chief if he read it yet. Those were the words that came out of his mouth. Classic.

..

By the time the merger goes thru and we actually go thru airplane/base swapping, both CAL and UA will be almost entirely DE-SCABBED by then..

Every year we lose more and more of them as most are past age 60 already.. out the door with that dirt..

The youngest scab at CAL in in his late 40's I think. It'll take quite a few years to get the stink off this place.
