Rumor running around CAL is that there's 500 pilots at UAL that currently don't have a position and were to be furloughed this year, but the recent agreement prevented that. True or False United people?

If true, make sure you bring that up with the arbitrators.

500 = FALSE

There was "talk" of an additional very small furlough as UA transitions to the "winter" schedule but that was squashed even prior to the agreement since UA is staffed razor thin in every fleet and seat. Nothing to see here.

Gotta love rumors....

totally untrue...in addition when the CAL workrules begin to look like UAL workrules they will need to add 500+ pilots...

With DOH it doesn't matter. UAL is the bigger airline so again Continental, it doesn't matter. Majority rules, better play nice during arbitration.

Boy are you setting yourself up for some epic disappointment. Do you just write this stuff to be funny? I hope so. I sincerely HOPE you don't really believe the ridiculous B.S. you write.

Or, you can sign up for binding arbitration and then deny it ever happened after you see the result, like a bunch of wheenies. Yeah, that's right, WHEENIES.

Say whatever you want, but like my other thread- "UAL Pilots Control the Merger"

Still true today, and will be tomorrow and next month and until the merger is complete. BTW, the UAL pilots are now singing the DOH tune as well...Had two UAL jumpseaters the past week talkin' all about it.

I think his Avatar picture is a picture of the model airplane he plays with. He probably has the whole fleet. Neat!

So the Delta/NW merger was just a fluke?

Gonna be a LOT of pissed off UAL 777/747 CA's wth DOH as most of them will lose their seats to the CAL scabs. Yeah, the gold standard is nothing more than a golden shower.

Had an east pilot tell me in April 2005 how thankful he was that AWA saved his job. Now that was painful.

I didn't read your last thread but I did print 3 copies. One to crap on, one to wipe, and one to cover it all up.

If you look back in history you'll see that UAL has there big group of Scabs as well. That statement is a wash!

My post wasn't meant to be flamebait. I heard the rumor and wanted to see if that was true or not. Thanks everyone.....................

Actually, skywest didn't have enough rj's to cover the extra flying U wanted to get rid of, so they decided not park some buses and furlough the pilots :).
