Well the web must have a hacker. Oh damn. It (web hacker) must have deleted my "Merry Xmas Bob19th" thread. Maybe this will stay alive. Happy New year Bob19! Keep up the insightfulness.

When his moniker reads "for entertainment value" what do you expect. I wanna pull this clowns guts out through her pie hole as bad as everyone else, but don't let it bother you. If anybody else is heading to company recurrent this week, I will buy the first round If we can all agree to ignore any post from mrs. ass clown. You have until Sunday morning...Time is ticking:beer:

Here's to my prediction of 35 pages...

I was Kinda hoping for a drive by shooting:uzi: or an Iraqi Insurgent using an IED:bomb: as he drove to work or perhaps a Hama's Suicide Bomber wearing an Explosive Vest grabs hold of B19 then pulls the pin:cool:. But I'd settle for him being locked up in a prison Cell with some hard core con's Nazi Low riders, Aryn Brotherhood or the Black Guerrilla family. That way I can tell them all that B19 is a Child Rapist and big time Kiddy Porn distributor.

Then the Next thing we'll see of B19 is this  followed by this:crying: as the prison gangs take turns :pimp:ing him out to other con's

If what B19 heard was correct, then what?

I have said it before and will say it again. B19 owns every one of you that is speaking poorly of him/her. You have lost the battle and have resorted to grade school antics. Does that bode well for your cause?

The very few of you that can even be in the same thread with B19 and look good (X-Rated, a few others) in the debate are the ones that do the most for their argument. If you are honest with yourselves and really want to help your cause, how about providing professional counter points to B19?

This would help those like myself, make a more informed decision on the subject. When you throw out these grade school insults and repeatedly say you are worth a six figure salary but can't even put a 5th grade level sentence together while arguing your points, look silly.

If you provide valid counter points, you reinforce your arguments. If you proceed with grade school comments and continue to be schooled by B19, you look like little grade school kids.

After sorting through the garbage in some of these posts, there is little doubt B19 is smarter than 95% of the posters arguing with him/her and equally on par with the last 5%.

I would highly recommend you recruit some posters like X-Rated to come and help you. You need it.

Just my .02.

7777 - very well said.

You also have the added benefits of NJ owners who stop by this forum, seeing delightful posts such as by popgoesbubble (profile showing as a NJA pilot).

Shameful really. :(

I have watched with wonder at some of the antics & irresponsible comments - all over pro/anti-union views. Different legislation & rules over here - & before anyone comments, I'm very much against extreme unionism (or extreme management for that matter! ;) ) - but was the instigator/coordinator in my last company to get formal union recognition - TGWU if anyone is interested - I still have active membership.

You might want to look at their 23 kg (52 lbs approx) baggage campaign - we are certainly working on a safety-related programme to get owners to work towards such limits.

7777,

What cause? What decision do you have to make?

If Don 19 were as smart as me, he wouldn't be on this board harrassing pilots.

Here is what you'll find out when you leave active duty. The vast majority of managements out there treat pilots like dirt. Thats why there are pilots unions.

I would not be surprised to find out Don was part of the the lawsuit (Aviators vs the FAA) that 50 Part135 companies filed against the FAA trying to stop the enforcement of Safety regulations of Duty and Rest. The enforcement that was the result of ExecutiveJet's pilot union inquiries to the FAA Chief Counsel ... going back to about 1990. The reason FOARC was formed and 91K eventually written.

Before this Fractional flying was done Part 135. When the FAA confirmed 135 flying required Prospective Rest ... The fractionals said, "OK ... we will fly our trips part 91 (which have no rest requirements). The 135 Charter companies then complained "NO Fair ... if Fracs don't need rest neither should we." But they lost their Lawsuit against the FAA and therefore fracs had a competitive advantage over charter ... until 91K.

So everyone who enjoys Prospective Rest in the non-scheduled flying world ... has the netjets pilots union to thank ... NOT 19... who was likely part of the fight against it.

I would say I lean toward pro union, even though I now work at a non-union company and greatly enjoy it. I've never been treated better, even though I don't have a CBA to ensure that stays the same.

Anyway, 7777 is right. B19 schools 95% of you. Agree or not with him, he has always come off as intelligent and makes his point without sounding like a 3rd grader.

gunfyter,

I am deciding if a union or non union company is where I want to look for employment upon retirement. That is my decision.

The 'Cause' seems to be for or against unions in nearly every thread that B19 and posters like yourself are in. It is rampant on this site.

Pro Union folks always talk about the worst scenarios in aviation. Anti Union always talk about it not being like that. I now have friends who work at Net Jets and CS. Some are pro union, some are not. All my friends love their jobs. Go figure huh? Which one is better for me...that is my decision.

Intelligent debate will do more for both sides than name calling and threats. It seems your side is always doing the mudslinging...why? Why not beat him/her with facts? You guys, with very few exceptions, always lose your cool and resort to the grade school comments.

You have a lot of people like myself reading this stuff for information. We are not in your world. When we see these kinds of comments, it makes me wonder what kind of people they really are.

The friends I have at Net Jets and CS (some are posters on this board) are not like this at all. They are former military and I have flown with them. They are GREAT pilots, however, these folks 'representing' your union arguments make your company look very bad.

7777,

I wonder if 19 will respond to my theory that he was part of the Aviators lawsuit against the FAA enforcement of duty and rest rules for non-scheduled flight operations?

All I can say is in the Frac world ... whether its a Union pilot group or not ... everyone's life and pay is Better because of the NetJets pilots union.

I have been told that. My friends agree. I have no reason not to agree if they say it is so.

How flexible is the union going to be in this type of economy? What is going to be done to help both the company and the pilots? I know this is a broad question, but I look at what the UAW and management has done to the automakers and it is no surprise they are begging for money from me and you, the taxpayers, just to stay in business.

I don't know enough about NetJets to know how or if their union is any different. GM was the big boy on the block. United was the big boy on the block. NetJets IS the big boy on the block....now. You see my concern?

THAT is why I try and gleen as much information off these boards as possible. Intelligent, informative posts (B19, X-rated, ect.) by people working in these jobs/industry help me in my decision making process.

Having to wade through grade school insults to get to the substance in EVERY thread about this stuff is tiresome.

Well, I'm obviously on the union side, having paid dues and reaped benefits the past eight years. My only concern with the NJ union is that they might have seriously injured the golden goose by demanding too much too soon. OTOH, I've gotta agree with 7777 that B19 comes across as an intelligent adult while most of the responses to him are juvenile and silly.

Transpac, consider the big difference. A plane load of Legacy pax pay an average of a couple hundred per ticket. One of our owners pay $5 million for 1/4 share, and lots every month for hourly and monthly managemnt fees. Now, who can afford to pay their pilots six figures? We didn't get too much too soon. They held off that raise for over 4 years. That's hundreds of millions they banked. And after they started paying us well, profits soared.

Correct me if I am wrong.....and I might be because I don't know the contract, but wasn't there some reto pay involved? I am sure they tried to keep it all, but most new contracts carry a reto pay close that goes back to the end of the previous contract.

I will offer this......

You can be well spoken and uninformed. Look at a used car salesman.....they usually sound like they know what they are talking about, but the well-informed buyers know that he is full of ********************.

Can't believe that people know what they are talking about just because they sound like they know something.

my two cents.
