A step in the right direction, but a lot too late. At least its happening. If I remember correctly (and I do) we were saying this months ago.

BTW. Is it 24 more XJ for a total of 48, or 48 more in addition to the first 24? Big difference.

If we're getting 48 pilots that means we're getting 15 more airplanes.

Or.....................we're just catching up to our massive understaffing situation. In reality, 20 guys are upgrading to the 50. So it equates to 20 more Captains and 28 more FO's. That would be almost what we need for our current levels.

I'm pretty sure he was joking. You know, referencing the already thin staffing situation here at ASa...

Blah...blah.....blah. CT STILL handing out excuses from three months ago. Aren't we just experiencing the "new" staffing model at ASA?
Trying to be second cheapest. That's the real reason. All he has to do is keep us on the ragged edge with excuses to keep flights from canceling.

Look, I'm grateful for the hiring but don't use your PBS style math to tell me we've had a net increase of 90 captains! Idiot.

Are the new XJT guys going to the 700 or the 200? I heard the 700 despite a number of recently recalled ASA pilots on the 200 who have a standing bid for the 700. Is this valid or not?

XJT Furloughs will fill any vacancies left after the current position notice is completed. Have fun on the 700. Nice plane.
