I think those rates are very good...is that investment performance? or is it the value of the account in november 06 less the value of the account in December of 05? (If it is the latter, it would be including any money YOU put in and counting it as performance...) If it was investment performance could you say what kinds of investments you used? Thanks for any info...

I didn't do nearly that well in my 401K. I don't take much risk there - half of it is in bonds, the rest is evenly divided among Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap index funds.

I accept moderate risk in my brokerage account, which I load towards high dividend paying blue chips for the tax advantages, but this year I didn't do 17.6% there either, even if I factor in the dividends.

I check and revise mine at towards the end of every year. I research the Fidelity page that show a history of their funds over the years. I use my own weighted system (5 to 1) that assigns the highest number to the most productive funds in the last year to a lower number for performance 5 years ago. I add up the numbers for each and that's how I make my choices. I hope this makes sense. 2005 was a good year for me as I'm sure it was for many of you. I think I was around 27% last year.

All FID funds...
Value, Diversified Intl, Latin America, Templeton Dev Mkts A, Real Estate Invs, Sel Natural Res, and Freedom 2030.

How manny fund selections do you guys have in your plan. Are you also allowed to buy stock or is it simply a fidelity run show as it is at my company?
