Anyone know what sort of roster those guys get? Or the lifestyle?

Thanks for any info.

From what I've heard, it's a "brass ring" job. Tough to get, never leave.

I would imagine having 1000 hours in a G550 would help--a little...TC

TC's right that it's brass ring all the way with 3M. Run a search, they've been discussed in the past and things haven't changed much there.

3m

I only have three shuttle flights with one as commander. Guess I'm a little short on quals. Need that G type -

since i have some shuttle time, i should be a shoe-in... thanks for the replies.

all the best

121 or shuttle time with civilian training will not work at 3M...you must have military experience.

Regarding the 121 time, the last 3M pilot I spoke with actually came from Comair. No kidding. Granted he flew for the Marines first but he did in fact have a 121 background.

The department has a very strong culture. If your background, personality, skills, or anything else about you does not fit their culture stop dreaming and move on. ;)

Add scratch golfer to the list of quals... the 3M pilots regularly spank all of the other corporate pilots at the Minnesota Corporate Pilots golf outing.

Can anyone define this "brass ring" stuff??

whats starting pay? vacation? days worked/month? etc?

Better than yours ;)

Oh, I have no doubt!

Typical New Hires=

115-130K DOE
4.5 weeks VAC
12 days/month average
8 RONs/ month average
80% INTL

But really, this is the type of info thats helpful...
