Skywest Inc. needs to order something soon or they will be SOL in the future. All the order slots will be gone and we will be stuck with nothing but a ton of parked -200's and worn out -700's.
I know it's hard to believe for an Expressjet pilot but not every pilot group has a management that is willing to bow down to them every time they get upset about pay.
Nice to compare B6's rates that they only have had for about a year. Are you really touting a NON-UNION airline that only gets a raise when they have a union drive?? Why don't you go back and check the rates when those 190s came on property....It was called a B scale airplane dip$hit. Our Shatty 190 CA rates are better now(albeit a 20yr scale) then the original B6 rates, and our A/C have not even been on property for 10 months.
Why are you not on strike?
fact: your MEC allowed MEH's 88seat rates to expire which BLEW AWAY any wages/work rules/etc you have or will ever negotiate. you're cheap labor.
I can't believe this crap hole airline has fo's that are flying a 99 seat jet for TOP PAY of 37 an hour. I fly a 100 seat for 90 an hour. republic is the new MESA!

The MEC allowed the rates to expire? Sort of like tossing out rotten milk or something? What are you talking about?
I hear whining like a jet engine or something. Anyone else hear it?
When the deal was closed there was still 100+ MEH pilots on property with a valid contract that had 99 seat rates that were 50% higher than republics. Their MEC did nothing to try and save those rates, rather simply allowed them to go by the wayside along with the MEH pilots in lieu of those 100 jobs. They do not see the big picture.
The 190 is at RAH for the simple fact that you will fly it 50% cheaper than what the MEH pilots would, as we turned down RAH's exact rates.
What your saying makes no sense at all. What could the MEC have done? Demand those rates? I like the idea but unfortunently we do have to function in the real world of contracts and labor law.

No S#It! Then how exactly do you expect RAH MEC to get the rates that you guys were replaced for so that they wouldn't have to pay you! Hello????? Anyone there????? So ALPA couldn't negotiate your jobs for you and now you expect a bottom feeding regional that is only there because it can operate with half the cost to get you major style pilot contract? That doesn't jell. You guys should have seen the writing on the wall but as usual pilot egos get in the way, now you're replaced by regional pilots.
Where would they be used?
Delta is about saturated with RJ's and so is UAL.
UAL isn't super happy with the E-jet as they use a bunch more fuel and they couldn't care less that passengers have better comfort.
If SkyWest were going into that catagory of aircraft and if there was a need or a market or a contract, I think they would probably wait for the C-series.
