I am interested in finding out more information on the Curtiss Pusher called the "Hudson Flier". It was the aeroplane flown by Eugene Ely off of the USS Birmingham, on November 14, 1910.
The aeroplane had different wings on it, (which resembled Willard's design with the four trailing edge mounted ailerons) than it had earlier in the year. In May of 1910, it had flown from Albany, NY to NYC, NY. This aeroplane may have been damaged at an exhibition in Baltimore, MD, on November 4, 1910, and may explain the wing differences.
Anyone with any pictures or articles, please post or PM me.
Am interested in building a scale model of this aeroplane.
The Hampton Roads Naval Air Museum has a quarter scale model of the Hudson Flier on display, but it has the newer wings.
