You don't "drive" an airplane, you "fly" an airplane. Jeez, do I have to teach you youngsters everything?

You made my day Ace. It's been a looooong time since anyone called me a youngster. :D

Your post confused me. How would the applicant "flip through the ops specs" "a few days early" to "show interest". That is not a document that operators have on a table for anyone to look through. Also, we have had people come by and hang around on and off for a few days before an interview before, that will most likely be looked at as a person with no life and a pest that will quickly get on the nerves of the receptionist and customers.

Naw, I wouldn't do anything like that. Besides, most of the pilots know me. Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's my state's DOT people that will do the interview. I don't think any of the current pilots get to participate in it.
