1108 well take your dues and help Democrats get elected by making donations of your dues to their campaigns, amongst other things. That's good if you're in to Democraps.

That is a big load of crap. Union dues cannot be used for political purposes period. It is against the law. Contributions made by any labor organization come from donations or it is illegal. 1108 does not contribute any money to any political organization, ever, not even by donation.

IBT has never really done much for us. our accomplishments have been largely due to hard work, great leadership and pilot group follow through.

Cutting a $93,000 check to Hoffa monthly for a stupid magazine and use of the horsey logo seems a bit steep to me.

I bet I'm not the only one.

Call it what you will... "breaking up, decertifying, disafilliating, doing the coyote"... I like to think of NJA pilots creating an In House Union the next logical step in the transformation of this industry.

To pay 1 million in annual dues to IBT for NOTHING in return except the afore mentioned is a bit too pricy.

$1 MILLION and rapidly approaching $3 MILLION a year. I submit based on wage increases and future growth and integration(s) the IBT would capture $4 MILLION a year off the top in 2015.

Transparency and disclosure are critical to a strong and successful labor organization. The pilots should always set the agenda/course and good leadership should make sure we cross the finish line.

The reason the NJA Union has been so successful is due to our leadership. The president and board are amazing. Teamsters National are EXCELLENT at taking our money though.....nuff said !
