Heyas,

Nah, the hiring "boom" of 08 is going to be quenched by the recession of 08.

Many housing markets in the US are in free fall. Here in FL, the housing market is a litmus test for the rest of the country, and it's hard times. There are many, many newly constructed units sitting empty.

Oil is on the way back up, and personal debt is at crisis levels. The market can see this, and thus the big burp the other day.

Doesn't look good. This time around even the LCCs are going to be hit hard.

Nu

Most likelt with this recession will also be a liquidation of one maybe two legacies. Take bets on who it is going to be? It is not going to be pretty.

Oh, and don't forget...

And don't forget, the American voters just put the Democrats back in control of Congress. Things are going to get really fugged up around here...

That's funny. The last 7 years have been pretty "fugged up around here" if you ask me.

Where do you get your info from? The FL housing market in not a litmus test for the rest of the country. There are select parts of the country that have seen the appreciation in home prices that FL has seen. California, Vegas, Phoenix to name a few. Most other areas have seen home prices increase from 4-10% annually. No housing bubble here in ATL and we have had one of the fastest growing cities/economies in the U.S. over the past 25 years. Personal debt has been high in the U.S for 30 years. Our problem is the amount of debt foreign countries own, thus having control over us as does any lender. Stick to flying airplanes Francis. The economy is not your gig!

Nah, If anything a few legacy's will merge and cut some of their flying. This will result in less hiring or stopping of hiring. I wouldn't predict any furloughs in the near future because loads of people are retiring.

June 2007 hiring is going into full swing, didn't I post that about four years ago. It will run until around mid 2000.
