I need to produce a video of a flying event for a relatively small number of people... need a music soundtrack...
What would you consider the best (not necessarily 10) songs that would fit a video about flying? NOTHING from Top Gun is allowed!!! (overused!) Doesn't have to be popular or made by anyone of any country in particular nor does time period matter. Just good energy and decent lyrics.

That one that goes: "You load sixteen tons . . . what do you get?
Another day older and deeper in debt"

Learning to fly; Tom Petty. Major Tom; Peter Schilling. Walking in Memphis; Marc Cohen

Yankee Air Pirate - Dick Jonas

FastCargo

Tree Top Flyer- Jimmy Buffet

It's a hidden soundtrack in his Banana Winds CD

It's very catchy.

The only problem is, it's about a smuggler's adventures....don't know if it fits what you're looking for.

But it's really catchy...did I say that already?

Not necessarily the best, yet flying related:

Sugar Ray - I just want to fly
REO Speedwagon - Time for me to fly
Bel Canto - Feels like I'm already flying
Foo Fighters - Learning to fly
Steve Miller Band - Fly like an Eagle
Westlife - Flying without wings
Grand Funk Railroad - I'm your captain
Grand Funk Railroad - Ride captain ride
R. Kelly - I believe I can fly
Evita Soundtrack - High flying adored

Nothing from Top Gun, eh?

'One Vision' - Queen

Work's best if you graduated from Riddle! :)

"Learning to Fly"--Pink Floyd

"Eagles Fly" --Sammy Hagar

"Dreams" --Van Halen

"Jetliner"--Steve Miller Band

"Snoopy vs. the Red Baron"--The Royal Guardsmen

I left out Tom Petty, because while I liked that song, it was ruined for me when I found out he wrote it about doing drugs. :erm:

I believe (and by saying "believe" I mean I know), that the original author of this thread specifically stated that he/she wanted "NO" Top Gun soundtrack music. (overused is the term he/she used)

Your fear that someone had passed over your first post (#9), while gramatically correct, leads me to believe that you did not read the directions.

EagleRJ was saying " Nothing from Top Gun Eh?" Meaning : Okay, I'll pick a song from "Somewhere" else. Alas........"Queen"
