"Half my accomplishments and qualifications"... Have you piss tested recently? While you were yanking gear in and out of mke, many of us were flying at 300' trying to avoid Sams... I'm sure your "accomplishments" are amazing....

My reference to reserve pilots (which I am from time to time) had nothing to do with their skill level, I posted it because no "lineholding" pilot in their right mind would fly through a HOLE in an ash cloud (even with a CEO onboard) and a junior reserve may feel pressure to "get it...
I bet it was reserve pilots who flew these "test flights"...
Safety is great until you lose $$$$ trying to honor it... once it becomes too expensive, safety is a nuisance. Let Mikey do it, he'll find the hole in that ash cloud.....
Will do... is there anywhere special that I need to go to pay them for my two passes?
BritishAir sent me on a scavenger hunt last summer at JFK to some office by their unreturned luggage department to pay.... Almost missed the flight cause of it.

Legendary post. I appreciate your candor & advise (along with everyone else). I'm bringing my wife with a predetermined credit line (translation: she'll spend money she earned...). Hopefully we'll both be on the same return flight....
Hoping to find out all the pitfalls and obstacles I'm sure I'm going to run into trying to go JFK-CDG-JFK in April... Any "secret" desk I need to goto to pay$$, secret handshakes, winks or passwords??
Returning from CDG... I've heard the French aren't too accomodating to non-revs at the...
I agree with Albie 100%
You do not want anyone you know on board an aircraft with someone so "on the edge" that he'll end it if he doesn't get an extension to fly to 65.
Any questions?

I for one live in NY, have a great time while at work with jetblue, enjoy flying 2 - 3 legs a day, got a 1250 on my SAT's, and did not pay alot for my car insurance...
Bring your sticks, the base golf course is O.K., be sure to bring hunting clothes to wear (even if you don't hunt), a John Deere hat is a must.
The tractor pull at the Little Rock Fairgrounds is a must see (they use souped up Lawn Tractors), it's the same event as the Farm Expo. Johhny...
I had a depth perception problem before I went in for my medical. I spent about 1 K on vision therapy and it worked! There's also a program on the net called Vision Aerobics, works great. The color blindness test was one of the trickiest I've ever seen. Good luck

I could not agree with 9rj9 more. If you don't like your job/company/pay then LEAVE. If you don't like Jetblue, don't work here. If you don't like jetblue and don't work here, but criticize us, get a life. I've flown with more of your FORMER co-workers then I can shake a stick at. It's...
Thanks "Amish Rakefight" (love that). The approach plate I'm flying off of does not use that verbage for the Missed approach.. mine reads.. RT HDG 100 intercept V16 to DPK climb 4000.
In addition, on the profile view, it shows a descent (slanted line) beginning right at DMYHL (to the...
I guess my big issue is.. now that you're PAST the MAP (DMYHL) MDA "should" no longer apply and the instrument portion of the approach is over ,(since you're now navigating "visually"). As per the reg, the Missed approach procedure is no longer valid IF you continue BEYOND the MAP. Now if you...
Had a question on when you're legal to leave the MDA on the VOR 13L into JFK. Once you're at DMHYL the chart says to take over "visually" by using the Lead-in lights... I interpret that to mean passing your MAP (DMHYL) if you have the lead-in lights insight, you're legal to start down (even if...
