Its possible some flight schools only will allow you to teach for a certain amount of time or under "contract expiration" terms, then they boot you so they can fill your spot with students who graduated from their program.....Don't know all the facts or if this is a fact. But I when I visited... -

I don't like em either...If info the displays show is helpful. But I'd rather do steam guages. The only real feature I like about the G1000 is the XM satelite radio feature which can show weather. Most schools offer G1000 aircraft to train in. They try to get you to use the G1000 birds. But... -

Of course not...I don't have stock in the company. Honestly I've never liked ANY simulator used for flight training purposes. WHY? For the same reasons mentioned. I just try to use it the best way possible and you can learn from using them and save money in the process. Just trying to stay... -

One more thing. Before we bust Redbird's balls, talk to your flight school. I'm not so sure that they can't order the Redbird with all the bells and whistles...If the flight schools are on a budget, or just don't want to spend for top dollar equipment, then you'll get generic programs in place... -

Yeah ive seen pilots helping elderly folks on and off the planes before. Also some skycaps here wear shoulder boards but they are easily distinctive from pilots. They are usually red and silver with no more than two stripes. Even TSA airside screeners wear them. 3 stripes max. Those are the... -

As far as the gps, well there may have been some legal issues with portraying the use of a garmin gps. After all i dont remember it saying anything anywhere about it being a garmin certified product. Not factual but this might explain the gps woes. -

It's just a simulator.... Thats what it does.... Simulate.... poorly but hey you always have the option to rent a G1000 or steam guage Cessna and get some simulated yet real experience that way. Dont like it, then dont use it. Its ur money. Do as you please. -

Guys it isn't a level D sim...we have on here in KPIE at CAMS flight school. Yeah it flies funny but name one simulator that you have been in that behaves like the real plane besides level D...... That is not the point. The point is to get the idea of how you should control the aircraft...small... -

Well I'm not going to carry the issue on my back...I don't see anything wrong with motorcycles. I love bikes. How many times have i seen public figures on the way to work on bikes?? Several...I have seen TSA screeners in uniform on bikes and in walmart shopping for groceries, I see cops on bikes... -

Yeah there is no specific order in which you can do this..Just remember you must have the 250TT before you can get the commercial ticket. For your Commercial, you can rent a 172RG and do the required 10hrs of Instrument simulated or actual and get the complex experience at the same time. -
