How would the perception of the accident have changed?

    Previously explained medical condition verbage

About 1.5 years ago, i was diagnosed with mild psoaritic arthritis (not taking any drugs). At my last medical I explained it to my AME, he examined me, and explained that wasn't of any severity to impede my ability to operate an aircraft. I put the condition under the "medical visits" section...

    AA furlough recalls

How many are getting calls, and how many are going back? Is there any deadline that says that furlough must be called back before a specific time or they lose their furlough status?

    Future AA retirements?

AA's pilots look pretty senior (no offense guys). How many are going to have to retire in the next few years? Is AMR sitting on the edge of a significant pilot shortage?

    Hey TSTC alumni

Have you seen the video on their site: http://waco.tstc.edu/apt/index.php My favorite quote at 4:40: "The training syllabus and, uh, everything, meets FAA requirements" I don't remember ever seeing Steve out doing a walk-around when I was there. Kidding aside, I think it is a...

Turbojet vs. Turboprop time at majors.

I know that the mins for some of the legacy (Delta, Continental, Southwest) carriers just want turbine time. But is there any true preference between having the time in a turboprop versus a jet?

    1998 airline pay

http://web.archive.org/web/19990210121330/www.jet-jobs.com/samples/salsrveysum.html Seems par with today when adjusted for inflation. Except they keep calling a CRJ-900 a DC9??

    Republic vs. Eagle

Got offers at both. Just a couple of months back, I would have said Republic all the way...now I'm leaning more to Eagle. From I few of the threads I read, it sounds like Republic might be losing steam. I hate to go there, not upgrade, and be out on the street in 3-4 years. What do the next...

IFT washout. How can I motivate this guy?

I have an Air Force IFT student who has to be one of the worst. He somehow convinced the AF ROTC to give him a pilot slot, however he first must get his civilian private license. He has been in and out of the flight school since last summer. The Air Force is picking up the entire tab, including...

How long for a C172R/S annual?

I'm curious as to what mechanics would feel the average time (looking for total hours) to complete a newer model C172R or SP annual would come out to. Assume nothing was found to need replacement, no other discrepacies noted, and include an oil change. Also assume this was done by one...

    Best on-airport restaurant

OK, looking for restaurants that are actually at the airport. No courtesy car involved, just shut down, walk up and eat. Here are some in central Texas that I know about: T82 - Fredricksburg 11R - Brenham SSF - Stinson, San Antonio All 3 are good, but the airport diner at T82 is tops.
