About 1.5 years ago, i was diagnosed with mild psoaritic arthritis (not taking any drugs). At my last medical I explained it to my AME, he examined me, and explained that wasn't of any severity to impede my ability to operate an aircraft.
I put the condition under the "medical visits" section...
How many are getting calls, and how many are going back?
Is there any deadline that says that furlough must be called back before a specific time or they lose their furlough status?
AA's pilots look pretty senior (no offense guys). How many are going to have to retire in the next few years?
Is AMR sitting on the edge of a significant pilot shortage?
Have you seen the video on their site:

My favorite quote at 4:40:
"The training syllabus and, uh, everything, meets FAA requirements"
I don't remember ever seeing Steve out doing a walk-around when I was there.
Kidding aside, I think it is a...
I know that the mins for some of the legacy (Delta, Continental, Southwest) carriers just want turbine time. But is there any true preference between having the time in a turboprop versus a jet?

Yeah, I'm bored tonight. I do like reading about TWA interviews and Eagle upgrades at 18 months.

Seems par with today when adjusted for inflation. Except they keep calling a CRJ-900 a DC9??
Got offers at both. Just a couple of months back, I would have said Republic all the way...now I'm leaning more to Eagle.
From I few of the threads I read, it sounds like Republic might be losing steam. I hate to go there, not upgrade, and be out on the street in 3-4 years. What do the next...
$42,000 / year + CE-500 type + health insurance in unstable part 91 company where I'll be on call 24/7 and primarily flying a 182.

Go to the regionals. I'm looking at American Eagle, ExpressJet, Republic, Air Wisconsin.

What is the difference between the Grid Mora if it is charted green vs. charted red on the low enroute altitude jepp? Been looking all over the internet, don't have a jepp legend.

Which of the regionals carriers actually pay you during initial training?
Which ones pay for your hotel accomodations?
I've heard Mesa does neither. Are others the same way?
I have an Air Force IFT student who has to be one of the worst. He somehow convinced the AF ROTC to give him a pilot slot, however he first must get his civilian private license. He has been in and out of the flight school since last summer. The Air Force is picking up the entire tab, including...
I'm curious as to what mechanics would feel the average time (looking for total hours) to complete a newer model C172R or SP annual would come out to. Assume nothing was found to need replacement, no other discrepacies noted, and include an oil change. Also assume this was done by one...

Well, I'm at the point at which I might get asked to a airline (regional) interview soon. Another instructor told me to make sure my single and multi times added up to equal my total time. No Problem, just break out the calculator and....CRAP! 1.6 hrs off. Found the error, just forgot to add...

Yeah, that's right, I'm moving on up to the big iron! 0 time - B727 in six-months!. All you PFT Gulfstream Academy and "Fast Track" COMMUTER PILOTS suck on that.
Seriously: Seems this is the next step for the majors (god save us all). What's stopping the majors...
OK, looking for restaurants that are actually at the airport. No courtesy car involved, just shut down, walk up and eat. Here are some in central Texas that I know about:
T82 - Fredricksburg
11R - Brenham
SSF - Stinson, San Antonio
All 3 are good, but the airport diner at T82 is tops.
