What strikes me most about that article?
Buffett is 80 years old. No one lives forever and I suspect that BH will not be the same after his departure. Either from the office or this world.
Either way, this doesn't bode well for NJ. Hansel is an attorney, and we all know what that means...
Happened today 2 miles from where I grew up. Looks like he was on final about 2.5 miles from touchdown.
My condolences to anyone that knew the pilot.

TC,
Whats up bro? Just finished recurrent and ran into a group from DeerJet. Sent them my stuff, so we shall see.
Got to tour the G650 plant/assembly line... WOW! That airplane is going to be a winner. It was truly a remarkable machine. Gulfstream pulled out all the stops and engineered...
And the thugs are about to get a taste of their own medicine....
Stand up and keep doing the right thing. When the times comes, your voice will be needed.

you know my name.
Oh.. I TOTALLY agree! I have NO FRIGGIN CLUE what is in the works.
My statement about separate operations was inline with NJA purchasing Flex, but the acft owners at Flex demanding to stay under their current contracts, thus forcing NJA (or any buyer for that matter) to operate it separately.
Excellent points. Without knowing a single phrase in any of the Flex or NJA owner contracts, I am reserved to say anything. However, Flex owners will certainly have to see the "more-green" pasture to agree to sell or transfer their shares without a fight... one would think.
NetJets could just...
PS... I saw the E190 in a VIP configuration over in Paris last December. All I can say is watch out!! That airplane was gorgeous inside and out! If they can find a way to stretch the range on that thing another 700NM, they'll see sales really pick up.
I joined climbto350 last year and I saw 2 jobs in the Corporate sector. Never heard anything back. I keep reading where China is opening up to GA sector, so I've got my eyes and ears tuned in.
If you hear of any leads, pass them on! Much appreciated.

NetJets management has stated numerous times the recent aircraft purchases are replacements and that there is no 'net' growth from these orders. Furthermore, the CEO has said they see NetJets growing financially stronger, by becoming smaller.
I fail to see how a FlexJet purchase could add to...
Interesting. I find it surprising that there are enough pilots with a E190 type and PIC time that would go.
Not to say its a great opportunity, I'm just shocked they find these guys. I have flown throughout Asia in the Gulfstream, and was told no dice.
I liked those seats! Minus the fake sheep fur stuff, I thought they were nice.
Stuff yourself in the GIV seat and you'll feel like a pretzel... not a roomy cockpit.
As a fractional guy who worked at the airlines, and now rides them to work... constantly!
I can add that Delta Airlines is my #1 choice. They have always been out front on the technology angle (kiosk, blackberry device app, etc), they keep their planes looking good, they have the best Business...
The internet sites are littered with job opportunities all over India, China, etc. offering employment in 737, 747, A320, E190, etc.
My question:
Where in the world are all these pilots with a type rating and 500 hrs PIC coming from? No one is going to quite a US/European carrier to go fly 5...
Excellent question. I would like to know myself. I was under the impression they canceled all future orders.
But I was also under the impression people liked me... I was wrong.
Exxon just traded in four Globals for 550's and 650's. They're tired of getting stuck in Angola with parts on the way...
Gulfstream always has, and always will be the worlds premier corporate aircraft manufacturer.
