    You might be a "Kernal"

If your layover "uniform" consists of a braided belt, tucked in shirt and jeans accessorized with white tennis shoes.

SWA lands at wrong Branson Airport

I think they did have it on a couple of planes, but the number of write-ups saying: "RAAS system not working. Will not quit saying: ON TAXI-WAY. Starts shortly after tug is removed and continues until takeoff. Resumes again upon exiting the runway" was too much to handle. Sorry...I couldn't...

    SWA Training

No, my advise was sound. You don't want to many things bugging you during training. You don't want to loose the best job in the industry do to worrying about home issues. ;)

    SWA Training

While your at it, don't get to wrapped up in tying up any lose ends at home. Let your family take care of that stuff. It's there job to help you out during training! Oh...and I would also advise you not to worry about how to spell the word "advice." It really doesn't matter... :D:D:D:D

    Bad math...4.5 years left.

So much for looking out for the troops

You're right...something isn't right. What isn't right is all of the articles claiming he has 19.5 years of service. He only has 15.5 years on active duty. They are counting his 4 years of USAFA time. He's a 1996 grad. He's not six months from retirement (but that does make a good story)...

SWA is in position to dominate ATL

I might have to disagree. MEM is pretty amazing...have you ever tried to land during the PM arrivals during a thunderstorm? They put ATL to shame!

    Live the Dream!!!

That article is from 2007... Today's median is $24,000. Just like a WalMart greeter...

    Hey Sully, Eat This!

Sully wouldn't have used 4 attempts to land...he would have made it in one...

    250 Below 10

I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, but what aircraft are too heavy to slow to 250?

Actually...they brought a 72 out of the desert the other day...

Great article! Thanks for helping to clear that up...

    Altitude deviations

From the stories I have heard, ATC has told the crew to call 1-800-UR-SMOKED...but wanted to get the "official" word from FI.

Navy equivalent of Air Force 781?

You are correct...it is still this way...but, the computer does the work for you.

Navy equivalent of Air Force 781?

It is all done by the mighty computer. I will check the next time I am in...but I believe it is just like the USAF.

Navy equivalent of Air Force 781?

Re-reading your question, I understand more about what you are asking...I think. You want to know if we are all on the same page as far as: 1-6 minutes = .1 7-12 minutes = .2 etc.... Is that what you are wondering?
  20. M

Navy equivalent of Air Force 781?

Navy uses "yellow sheets." Actually, I think the official name is Naval Flight Record (NAVFLIR)...but, like so many things in the Navy, one base calls it one thing and another calls it something else. A copy can be found here...
