Not really all that uncommon, just uncommon in the media when the plane lands uneventfully. Delta had two dual engine bird strikes the last few years... 1 in Rome on a 767-400 (pilots on that one got the ALPA superior airmanship award 2 years ago) and 1 in Nice on a 767-300. I've been shown...
If you are awarded something then it will show up in icrew/ecrew... otherwise the results are posted on the Deltanet under Pilot Resources & Scheduling.
And when you get to the gate you'll be asked if you're already listed, and when you say no, you work for a different airline, you'll get the sigh and eyeroll.
Then that F/E, to quote Roger Clemens, "misremembers" part of what happened.... while the FA stuff didn't happen right before T/O it did happen on the taxiway and was listed as reason on the ntsb findings.

That accident was almost 21 years ago... those that don't learn from accidents are doomed to repeat them. (also note the contributing factors here...this happened just after the Western merger...)
Biggest difference I see between the 727 and the Q though is that the 727 had a mechanical failure...
About 3.5% more than an AirTran pilot will do for his/her retirement .... (10.5% B fund at AirTran vs. 11% at DAL...which is going up to 14% by contracts end.
I dunno, compare the difference between our opener for you and your opener for us and then get back to me on that....
.... Seems to me like this settlement was signed off on after one MEC was elected. You keep saying it's Moak's baby, but I know how Moak leads and he's not a go solo type...
FDJ2, I've enjoyed your posts on this thread, you've a voice of reason amongst the panic and I agree with you whole heatedly on this particular issue.
However your memory of some of our history is a little foggy. 3 1/2 years ago makes it Aug '05. Recalls had been already happening at a good...
I caught that too.... "Many airlines use the company name as a callsign... we use a different word"
...if that wasn't a dig on AWA, I don't know what was.
Dude, give me a break. I'm not saying Delta is isolated from any of this but in comparison to the rest of the industry, I'd say they're doing above average right now.
Name one vote in the last 10 years (actually, 25 years) at Delta that the pilots said no to. Now what percentage of pilots at DAL have a military background (hint, more then half).
Delta actually turned on their FOQA program again back in November with the blessing of ALPA. No decision has been made yet which software vendor will run the merged FOQA program.
I'm not going to air dirty laundry here, but I can tell you that Comair had nothing to do with Delta's ASAP going away. Wasn't even one of the straws on the camel's back. (Now Comair dumped their own ASAP program and I'm not familiar with the reasons behind that)
