Can someone help me out - can USAir pilots whose pension was terminated and taken over by the PBGC begin taking benefits after at age 50 even if they are still employed by US Airways?
I thought I had read that some pilots are doing this but the PBGC tells me no you have to resign or reach age...

Hopefully all US Airways pilots are still welcome on your jumpseat. However, for those pilots who wish to make a distinction when extending jumpseat priviledges, original America West pilots can be identified by a small "Pxxxx" on the back of their id.

I've been sending resumes, emails, dropped by to meet the Dir. of Training. Anyone with any intel? I keep hearing how they're expanding and looking for people, no luck for almost a year now.
The MEC just voted to create a "new" ALPA webboard exclusively for "active" (i.e. not furloughed) pilots. This is in addition to the existing webboard which was deemed to be populated by too many contentious furloughed pilots.
I'm curious if any other ALPA carriers have taken this unusual step...
