I think there was an ad in a past propilot issues for a wireless headset, but I can't find any reference to it anymore. I imagine that they would be very small. Maybe a microphone and a speaker molded into a earset made for your ear. It would have a bluetooth transmitter going to a box...
You can usually set it about 60% N1 that will give you speed to change flap settings and once you set in the next notch of flaps it will slow you to your next needed speed. Usually needs very little power adjustment from there. Using about 61 - 62% will keep you at Ref on the glidepath...
I worked for them in the summer of 1998. Probably one of the better jobs I have had. I flew a 172 all over the US for their aerial photography operations. Al, the owner, is a great guy. Could not ask for a better boss. I would definately take the job.
