I made the jump- t-prop to t-jet. So far, its awesome. But like everyone says...I"ll know whether I made the right choice or not in 5 years.
p.s. I bet that chick in your avitar is like 17.
Can I get her #?
Well its not a woodland creature, but me and my buddy were playing the "you cant scare me" game in a 152 over a big lake in central FL and we came about a foot away from hitting a fish that was jumping out of the water. Would have been hard to explain fish guts in the cowl.
I saw that e-mail and i was curious about the column that said "RJ" That includes RJ Upgrade, but it also listed FO's on the "RJ" line is that EMB transitions or new-hires? I'm guessing transitions...thats an awful lot though about 20-40 a month?
10 hour overnight in Appleton, WI. I figure from the time I enter the hotel I have about 45 min to grab a beer before my 8 hour buzzer goes off. Maybe I will be lucky and there will be a sweedish model convention going on in the hotel bar.......or not. But then again, just a day ago I was...
Dont mean to change topics but I read the press release and am still confused about where those initial 15 RJ's will be comming from. It sounded like they will be taken from the current fleet of SkyWest's RJ's? IF that is the case, why do we have 15 spare airplanes. Or are there going to be...
No need to wear the mokney suit to the airport in CUN. I went last may with some friends and wore slacks and a nice shirt, and crew id was all I needed. Went to the US Airways ticket counter, asked to jumpseat, they knew what I meant...I had already paid my taxes in the us prior to leaving (you...
I really dont think they will be hiring street captains for the bro. Last I looked there were about 130 bids in for Bro CA. Lots of guys arn't jet snobs and would rather be a 2nd year Bro CA than a RJ FO. I'll be putting my bid in for Bro CA as soon as I have the flight time.... Live in a warm...
Maybe, but my plan right now is Delta JFK-SFO, then Delta also on SFO-HNL. The loads look great on that routing, might try to get in earlier to HNL via United 767 service outta SFO. We'll see. I'm psyched. Trying to adjust to Hawaii time now by pulling an all nighter. Hah.
Whataboutbob.....Yeh, no details yet. I heard that Jan thing also. I'm off to Honolulu for some snow cones and surfing this weekend, they can keep putting this off as long as they'd like!
BTW. Congrats on reaching the 4th stage of being a pilot!
1st- Paying to fly
2nd- Flying for free

Anyone waiting for IOE also? Any ideas how long it will be or how long you've been waiting? I'm in noooo rush. I was quoted "2 weeks maybe longer" by the IOE lady. Any other info out there??
Word.
CHQ is prob. around 1 year, XJT is running around 16-17 month for ERJ upgrade, and Comair most junior CA was just awarded and she was a 3/06 hire on the RJ. But you never know, upgrade changes at the drop of a nun's panties.....
Hmm, I dont have any straight and level time in the Caravan, I flew skydivers in it. She's a great bird, very docile and responsive. All I know is power to flight idle at 13,500' and pitch 5 knots below Vmo and your main wheels will be on the ground in 2 minutes and 50 seconds. When you set...
