Work 15 days on and then have 13 days off
Thats an extremely tough schedule. How do you guys and your families handle this?

From what I can tell the phenom has no TR's. What do you think of this? Is it an issue? or not? or is it just pure rinky dink?
I know that TR's are not counted in the stopping distance on most part 25 certificated aircraft.
What about those few days a year with a wet runway, snow...

I see this whole SWA and Air Tran deal as Southwest's last stand. No longer will they be as profitable as they once were. No longer will they be as successful as they once were. They will end up as just another airline.

Are some of the small Fractionals teamming up and flying each others flights? Maybe having customers in a so called "Pool" and then one of the companies picking up the trip?

Every time I land at KBNA ATC gives Southwest priority over us and other aircraft at the airport.
Is LUV having donut and whiskey parties at night for these controllers in Nashvegas?
Don't you hate it when the controller turns you out of the way or slows you down so that the SWA Love Machine can come blowing right by you?
The worst is actually on the ground when you are stopped so that SWA can blast in front of you (I most often see this in Nashville).

I have been out of Rotor Wing for about 12 years or so. I'm wondering how most of the helicopters are equiped now a days for avoiding ground hazards, power lines, antenna's, etc.
Is ground proximity equipment more common now??
