    Air Force vs. Coast Guard

I was joking.........sort of........who he picks is of no importance to me. I do agree with his last statement, many people on the internet throw around "you gotta want to serve your country soldier" and that getting one of those SEXY blue Air Farce suits is just a bonus, yet darn near all the...

    Air Force vs. Coast Guard

I guess it's kind of like comparing Pee Wee Herman to Richard Simmons, don't you think? That's my joke for the day, good luck on either choice.

What Arpt. Do the Naval Acad. Cadets Use?

Patmack, I knew you were going to throw out that academy picture...nice. I've come to the conclusion that it's not a gut...........it's a child strapped under his shirt.

    USAF Navigator

In the kindest way possible, if you really want to be a pilot, knock the cobwebs off of what you and I call physical fitness and apply to the Marines Corps, out of all the services, I think they're officially the only ones declaring, "we're hurting for pilots."

Waiver for refraction greater then -5.5

Most of my answers will be just what I've "heard" about hours per month, etc so don't quote me too much. Committment I believe is 6 years after winging for helos, 8 after winging for fixed wing, but should be 8 for both in the near future. Hours per month varies, but I've heard about 15-20...

Waiver for refraction greater then -5.5

Yes, I'm 100% positive the max is 8.00, you just have to extend the wait to apply to 6 months, I'm sure a quick search of the internet can yield all the information you'll need on it, so I won't post too much. Wingnutt, moving back to the great State of Kansas as we speak, and if I can get...

Waiver for refraction greater then -5.5

Both the Navy and the Marine Corps fall under the same regulations, their refractive limit for PRK is -5.50 with a wait time of 3 months, and MAX of -8.00 with a wait time of 6 months, so essentially you'll have to wait longer before you can submit your entire application, not a big deal really...

The Flight Surgeon Is Not Your Friend

I just had my physical done over in Meridian, all I can say is "Doc" the Flight Surgeon down there is a hell of a nice guy.

    Warbird Rides ?

If you can get to Driggs, ID, last time I was up there, there was a rich fella that had 3, maybe 4 mint condition show planes that he flew quite often, sure he'd give you a ride. Course, he also owns the T-2 Buckeye he soloed in, during his Navy career(bought it out of mothballs) and some of...

CHQ E135 in the grass @OKC

Has to do with activating the nose wheel steering a "little" too early, nose gear position potentiometer, senses 7 degree difference from straight, get nose gear inop light, yada yada yada, talk with your systems instructor, he'll tell you all about it, guess it's happened quite a few time before.

    SWA publicity/hiring stunt

Perhaps its because a 737 type is cheaper than a dam Slowtation type nowadays

Just made a video..check it out

I was hoping you'd be a little more original, like maybe incorporate you pedaling down the street on your bicycle, and holding up your fist to a passing airliner!! Now that I think about it, you could do a pretty funny arse parody of all the stuff "Top Gun" has in it..............I'm waiting to...

    FedEx C-208 Unscheduled landing

I wasn't implying that he was a good pilot since he was furloughed from NWA, actually, in all reality, I was more figuring he got out of the plane, started crying, and said f-u-c-k this, and walked home.

    FedEx C-208 Unscheduled landing

OH MY GOD! If this happens I would shiznit my pants! Whatever these two jackarses were doing is OBVIOUSLY very stupid, but Baron is a good bunch of people, I would hate to see something this drastic happen! Are you sure about this, or is this just hearsay? On the other note, I hear the new...

    Smyrna, TN

They have won quite a few SAFECON's, of couse that and 50 cents will get you a cup of coffee. As for being cheaper than ERAU, I believe some parts might me fairly reasonable, but they, like every other one of those b.s. schools has like a 100K airline pilot program. Honestly, my only contact...

Buying a new bike, how much can I haggle

...elsewhere, were pilots for god's sake, travel and get it. And yeah, the new zx-10's are badarse, of course, no matter what anyone says, TL1000R's and the **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** coolest bike around, and you can get one for the right $$$, which makes them even cooler.

Best Nite Time Freq's for Freight Pilots

Everybody I know uses fingers, 123.45, but then again, there's always those "do gooders" that feel the only appropriate air-air frequency should be 122.75, we use to be half right, 122.72.

Buying a new bike, how much can I haggle

Motorcycles are exactly like cars, the price is negotiable. Just look at how much they take off the price when it's been sitting in their show room over a year. An RC-51? I've owned lots of bikes, including this one, and for the price, would suggest others, but I'll just leave it at that...
