ACMI is simple....go to work on day 1...go home on day 17. What happens in between should be of no concern. If you get wound up about sh!t changing every 2 hours then it is not for you. If you could care less that you are going to go to Bahrain instead of Hong Kong, then you will fit in well.
Dang...I went in to talk to the recruiter about a job awhile back and he took me over to the museum and got me in for free. Hope Del does not find out....he will probably try to charge me for it!
Southwest doesn't give 2 sh!ts about its pilots unless giving that 2 sh!ts will make them 50 cents. They sure as he11 ain't gonna care about some dudes to whom they sent wrong emails that don't even work there.
what up dude...I hear you on all that. still 132K is pretty good coin for never really working! you still in HK?? I go thru there a lot, lets get together sometime. we got a lot of ATA guys over here, just flew with one for 2 weeks.
109.6 hours per year. Yeah....i went to college! :)
Propjob...You must have some sort of min daily pay? (for line holders, I assume reserves have a min monthly) Fedex is a great job, but I am not sure I would enjoy sitting sideways on the 727 for 2-4 years flying nite turns in and out of...
I corresponded with an expert in radiation and was told that we have nothing to worry about. Even flying near the reactor, there has not been enough radiation released to the atmosphere to pose a threat.
Did you have to go there??? I am a Democrat and I dont "hate" guns or "love" abortion. How come republicans want personal freedom with guns, (which enable people to kill people) but not with letting a woman decide what is best for her body and life?
The rest of your post is right...in general...
i would have to look closer at the list, but i think most 4 year guys are captains at kalitta at about 130/hr. of course, the pension is not there, but really good flying, basically 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, no more commuting.
also looks like you pulled the WB pay, is that realistic at fedex...
$600 a week, no perdiem during GS. Pay for own hotel in GS (about a month...$1100 at the Candlewood in Ann Arbor). Once in sim you get hotel and perdiem ($40/day)...at least you do for the 400, not sure about the classic. well, i know you get a hotel, not sure about the perdiem.
the chicks just stay away from the perpetual evergreen union meeting at the 5 clowns. why dont those people get out and do something fun with their time in NY?
And get rid of the threat of bringing that union on the property and watch what happens. Unions are not the answer to everything, but they are a check on the corporations and help to keep a balance.
Get rid of unions (by way of not requiring membership) and watch how fast companies change things to screw the employees. You dont like the way your union treats you? Get involved and make a difference!
If you complain about the rest rules taking money out of your pockets then you are putting a price on safety....the same thing we get pissed at companies for doing.
